In
late 2007, John Mackay and Randall Hardy visited an
abandoned limestone quarry in rural Wales, UK (above
right). The rock layers were full of sea shells and
corals and were labelled Carboniferous. |
(2)
The
sequence was also remarkably similar to the Bangor limestone
in eastern Tennessee USA, where we have been finding
fossil land plants mixed with seashells. The Bangor
Limestone USA, was named after Bangor in Wales and is
also labelled Carboniferous. |

So
we began looking for a fossil plant layer and within
a few hours we'd found the right layers and look what
began to emerge. |

Fossil
Brachiopod shells and coral above are mixed with Y-shaped
plant structures and a very obvious carnbonized horse
tail rush stem below (5)

beside a fossil coral. |

During
April 2008, Creation Research Geologists Bob Powell
above and John Mackay found a new batch of similar fossilized
land plants and sea shells together in the Tennessee
Carboniferous, nearly 5000 kilometres (3000 miles) west
of the quarry in Wales. |
(8)
The
fossils were found in the St. Louis Limestone and are
clearly rushes with brachiopods.

As
we have reported before - we are not the first to paint
out this unbelievable HUGE size and almost unbelievable
similarity of rock type (FACIES), their fossil content
and mode of deposition, of certain layers or strata
in the Geological record. Evolutionist Geology Professor
Derek Ager pp.6-7, in his book "The Nature of the
Stratigraphical Record" Wiley, New York, 1973,
states about these same Carboniferous beds we have been
working on in the USA and UK , also showing up in other
countries: |
(10)
"...we
still have to account for a general facies development
in late Carboniferous times that extends in essentially
the same form all the way from Texas to the Donetz coal
basin, north of the Caspian Sea in the U.S.S.R. This
amounts to some 170º of longitude, and closing
up the Atlantic by a mere 40º does not really help
all that much in explaining the remarkable phenomenon."
The Nature of the Stratigraphical Record, pp.6-7. His
chapter on the "The Persistence of Facies"
is really worth a read. |

Ager
the evolutionist never did come up with an explanation
of such vast beds, since modern geology is based on
the premise there are two things you must exclude -
Creation and Noah’s flood. The identification
of the sea shells as brachiopods, and the land plants
as horsetail rushes is based on the fact that such creatures
are still here and thus have reproduced after their
kind (a creation result); and the mixing of land and
sea creatures on a huge scale is definitely a flood
based phenomenon.
