Vance Nelson in the world famous Walcott Quarry in British Columbia - a tough climb and yes that is snow you can see and the hike was a total of 22-23 km...keep any body warm.

BURGESS SHALE is noted for its great fossils of soft bodied creatures such as the bristle worm shown – yes you are right it is like the still existing bristle worm and no we didn’t collect specimens – only photos. It’s a protected site.

Hard to get a date at the  visitor's center because they said the Burgess shale was 515 m.y.o., outside at the same visitor's center they said it was 530 m.y.o, and at the Tyrell Museum in Alberta they said it was 505 m.y.o. And the fossils? Limpets – havent evolved in all that time eh? No help to evolution!

Shown is the present living version of the fossil worm with the big name of Priapulid. Spot the difference – seems that they have also produced after their kind as God said all the creatures  would that He made.
