Following
our discovery of land plants in Pennsylvanian
limestones near Crossville USA by our
team (photo left), and then the more
recent uncovering of similar land plants
lower down the geologic column in Mississippian
limestones by Marilyn Powell (photos
below), we are pleased to announce yet
another new plant fossil specimen discovered
by John Mackay in the lower part of
the Devonian Chatanooga shales in Kentucky
(picture left).

These
plants were in a radioactive shale found
across Alabama, Tennessee and Kentucky,
USA. We have now traced these shales
into Scotland, UK as well, as part of
our investigation of the worldwide consequences
of Creation and the Flood. With your
support, our English team will aim at
finding the same plant fossils in Scottish
deposits during 2005. Exciting, isn't
it! Be part of it today.
Our field research
is vital in showing that the evolutionary
mindset is actually detrimental to
real geology. Geologists will benefit
mankind much more, when they swap
to the Creation, Fall, Noah's Flood
picture which God's Word gives us
about God's world.

| One
of our assistants is Robert Rowe MSc.
He is shown (right) helping on one
of our geology projects. In the insert
is a new fossil land plant which Creation
Research Director John Mackay found
in the Bangor limestone of East Tennessee.
The limestone is full of sea creatures,
so finding thousands of land plants
in the limestone proves it is a flood
deposit. This plant has never been
recorded in the limestone bed which
covers four states of the USA
Project
listed September 2002. TO

The
flow direction of these plants is similar
to the direction of fossil plants we
found two years ago at Crossville Tennessee,
in rocks which are (theoretically) 30
or so million years higher up the Geological
column in Upper Mississippian Bangor
limestone and roughly 100 miles away.
Our new evidence indicates the current
was from one flood event which mixed
land plants and sea creatures together.
None of the above, is thrilling to evolutionists,
and all the above are firsts for Creation
Research. They are not previously recorded
in any literature we have been able
to extract from the Tennessee Geology
Division. We're now working on correlating
flow direction of these plants with
flow direction of fossil trees in Pennsylvanian
rocks. Watch for further details. Your
funding enables our research. |

Geologist Bob Powell,
USA, (February 2003) reports new finds
of FOSSIL LAND PLANTS in "Marine"
Limestone west of Nashville. The plants
were found in the St Louis formation
which is lower down the geologic column
than the plants above which we discovered
in the Hartselle Shales, near the Cumberland
Plateau. No land plants are registered
in the TN geological archives from either
"marine" location.
The
discovery was made by Bob's youngest
daughter, Marilyn, and a friend as
they were out biking. The new plants
(right) are long strap-like structures
up to1.5cm (¾ inch) wide and
have been found in crystalline limestone
which seems devoid of any other fossils.
Your support enables us to do further
exploration and research. Any comments
on these plants forward to Plant Research

FOSSIL FIRST DISCOVERIES CONTINUE

As our Creation Research
team rubs it in to evolutionists. On
a Field trip in Kentucky, Vance Nelson
unearthed a spectacular fossil specimen
(photo below). On one side was a plant
fossil that today grows in the mountains
of Tennessee and Kentucky. In the same
layer were shells that John Mackay readily
identified as belonging to the Lingula
group. They are found living today in
mud off the Australian coast.
“How would you mix highland
plants with Australian sea shells
and bury them in the same rock?”
The field trippers quickly answered,
“The water on the land which
had to be higher than the plants,
ripped them up, then took them to
wherever the sea shells were.”
All agreed that calling this a flood
deposit seemed the only logical thing
to do. Since these plant and shells
are still present in the world, the
fossils also were no help to the theory
of evolution.

| OUR
KIWI CREATION RESEARCH GEOLOGIST,
Mark Simpson continues to keep his
eyes open for great evidence of creation
and rapid deposition. He is pictured
here after discovering a sedimentary
sandstone dyke south of Auckland in
the old coal field near Huntly. The
sandstone under the coal has pushed
its way through the overlaying coal
seam and layers. This meant the sandstone
under the coal was still soft and
fluid while the coal formed on top.
It pushed up through the coal without
breaking it, so the coal was also
still soft and fluid. It then proceeded
through the rock layers many metres
above the coal seam. All of which
tells us the sediments and the coal
were not laid down slowly one after
the other over millions of years.
Pray for Mark as he continues to look
for any field observations that point
to creation and catastrophic flood
deposition.

The
orchid (left) is a normal beautiful
Cattleya. Count the petals. The orchid
(below left) is a mutant of the same
variety which emerged in our Creation
Research orchid house in May 2002. Notice
it has lost a petal, a sepal and colour.
This is the type of change seen in the
real world. We can now select the plant
and breed from it to produce a new variety,
of degenerate orchid. This brings out
a real weakness in evolution - selecting
something is not the same as making
something. Natural selection (or artificial
selection) can only choose from the
orchids that already exist. It cannot
turn seaweed into orchids. The
June conference in Nottingham UK,
saw the first results of many years
of our orchid research which glorify
God as Creator and expose evolution
as fraud. Support such long term Creation
Research projects. The cost has been
measured in tens of thousands of dollars
- the results are measured in eternity
as people learn they can trust the
written word of God about creation,
and the living word of God who is
the Creator - Jesus Christ.

We have the biggest research file
in the world on vertical fossil trees
(polystrate). These have made a remarkable
impact, in universities around the
world where we use them to show that
millions of years of evolution is
not in the rocks. The tree (right)
which we exposed on our 2002 Blue
Mountains coal field trip is just
one more nail in the coffin of those
who insist the evidence points to
evolution and millions of years, therefore
the Bible must be reinterpreted or
thrown out. This continuing research
is vital. Like all research, it is
expensive and needs your team support
gifts.
