Fraudulent Fossil Facts

Fraudulent fossil facts reported as prominent German anthropologist, Prof Reiner Protsch is shown to have deliberately given false ages for many of his human fossils (The Guardian and WorldNet Daily 19 Feb 2005 and New Zealand Sunday Star Times, 20 Feb 2005). One skull Protsch claimed to be 21,300 years old was dated as 3,300 years old by the Oxford University radiocarbon dating unit, and a fossil known as "Paderborn-Sande man", dated by Protsch as 27,400 years old, actually died about 1750 AD. Protsch also claimed to have found a 50 million year old "half ape" in Switzerland, but the fossil was actually found in France and several examples of the same ape had already been found. Protsch's "world's oldest Neanderthal remains" found in Germany, have been re-dated at Oxford as 7,500 years old. Chris Stringer, head of human origins at London's Natural History Museum, commented: "What was considered a major piece of evidence showing that the Neanderthals once lived in northern Europe has fallen by the wayside. We are having to rewrite prehistory."

Editorial Comment: We have no doubt Prof Protsch was able to get away with lying about his fossils for so long because many experts willingly accept anything that will support the theory of evolution. Make sure creationists don't do the same. The Creator has no need of created evidence.

Fraudulent evidence for evolution began soon after Darwin's theory became popular in the 1860's with Haeckel's false embryo diagrams. In spite of being exposed as frauds by contempory anatomist (Wilhlem His) in 1874, and by a British embryologist in 1997, simplified Haeckel type diagrams are still widely used as evidence for evolution in High School Texts. Another prominent evolution fraud, Piltdown Man, was exhibited as evidence for evolution for about 40 years before being exposed, and in 1999 National Geographic claimed to have found a fossil showing a dinosaur evolving into a bird but was forced to admit the fossil was actually a fraudulent composite of two different fossils.
