Evolution back in Kansas curriculum. Two years ago The Kansas State Board of Education voted to remove evolution as ton he sole explanation of the origin of man from the state's public school curriculum. But on February 14th 2001 a 7-to-3 vote by the board reversed that decision, reinstating evolution with the adoption of new state science standards and essentially mandating that evolution be taught in public schools throughout the state. (New York Times, John W. Fountain February 15, 2001)

Editorial Comment: The political insertion of Creation into a public school system is just as easy as political deletion. Teaching evolution is just a symptom. Aim deeper at the real cause. It's more permanent. See Romans 1:18-32. (Ref. politics, Kansas, education)
