Germany continues to provide evidence as we gain a unique specimen of an Aussie fossil pine branch buried with a deep sea nautilus type shell (bottom right), which we got from the original rocks of the Jura in southern Germany. John Mackay and David Keep will be back there later in the year to do 2 weeks teaching as well as research, so pray we will find even better samples of flood deposited fossils for use at our teaching museum, as well as reach out to a very sceptical German population. Why the picture of a fat worm (above right)? Because it took four years to establish the worm population in our sandy soil, so the plants could really grow. A reminder of how life can’t evolve step by step. The worms need plants but the plants must have worms also.
