Rudd and Abbott Believe In Evolution

Rudd and Abbott both believe in evolution, according to a report in the West Australian 31 January 2010. Australian Prime Minister Kevin Rudd, an Anglican Church attendee, has admitted he believes in evolution, and always has. Rudd was asked his view on evolution, after a challenge to quiz the PM on his beliefs from Opposition leader Tony Abbott. PM Rudd stated "I have always believed in evolution. The reason is it's an empirical science," he told Channel Nine. "It's been established. It has been, therefore, fundamental to the great innovations in science and technology for the last two hundred years since Darwin was around. And that's my view - always has been."

Abbott wrote on his website in mid 2008 that evolution was a more plausible explanation for the origin of humans than Genesis. Abbot stated "I don't say that evolution is a complete and entirely satisfactory scientific explanation of the origin of man. Still, I think it's more plausible than treating the Adam and Eve story as literal truth (if that's what creationists say)."

Editorial Comment: Since the Pope and most Anglican leaders are evolutionists, it is no surprise that church going lay Catholic and Anglican pollies are as well. It shows the importance of church leadership in taking a firm stand on the authority of what God says vs what the naturalist scientist says, as both Rudd and Abbott will make decisions on public issues such as gay rights and abortion and rising student violence murders based on their false evolutionist view of history that teaches man is an animal so why not behave that way.
